Engine Build- Gen IV LS 6.0L L96 Supercharged
Project Overview
This build starts with a 6.0L Gen 4 iron block prepped by Golen Engine and assembled in-house at KTR for boosted reliability. Using a stock GM crank with forged rotating components, PRC 220 heads, and a BTR PDS Stage 2 cam, we paired the long block with a Whipple 3.0L supercharger. A Wegner front drive and Holley engine management complete a clean, serviceable package ready for street duty in a 1968 C-10.

Build Details
Short Block: A 6.0L Gen 4 iron block prepped by Golen Engine forms the foundation. We retained the stock GM crank and assembled the rotating assembly with CompStar forged rods, Wiseco forged pistons, ARP fasteners, and a Melling oil pump for reliable oiling under boost.
Heads & Valvetrain: PRC 220 cylinder heads are paired with a BTR PDS Stage 2 camshaft for strong midrange torque. The valvetrain features LS7 lifters, a BTR trunnion upgrade, and BTR hardened pushrods for stability and longevity.
Induction & Management: A Whipple 3.0L supercharger supplies efficient, low-heat boost. Holley engine management keeps calibration flexible for future pulley or fuel changes.
Accessories & Installation: A Wegner front drive completes a clean, serviceable front dress. The engine was installed in a 1968 Chevrolet C-10 with final vehicle-side fuel and exhaust to be completed prior to dyno verification.
