1968 Chevrolet C-10 Whipple Superchargerd LS Manual Transmission

Project Overview

This ’68 C-10 came in as an already LS-swapped driver, but the owner wanted more than just a swap—he wanted a complete transformation. We stripped the truck to the frame and rebuilt it with premium components, turning it into a ground-up restomod with modern performance, comfort, and reliability. From the QA1 suspension and Wilwood brakes to a KTR-built 6.0L with a Whipple 3.0L on top, every detail was upgraded to deliver show-stopping presence with real-world usability.

Powertrain, Chassis & Brakes

After stripping to the frame and refinishing the chassis, we rebuilt the foundation with a complete QA1 suspension package front and rear, plus a power steering rack conversion for precise, modern steering feel. Stopping power was elevated with a Wilwood big brake kit at all four corners.

At the heart of the build is a KTR Performance–built LQ9 6.0L paired with a Whipple 3.0L supercharger and Wegner drive kit. Power is sent through a Tremec Magnum 6-speed manual transmission from American Powertrain, giving the truck both street-friendly drivability and the ability to put power down with confidence.

Body, Interior & Comfort

The exterior was reshaped with front and rear roll pans, a front spoiler from VanNatta Fabrication, and custom side mirrors. Once assembled and wired, the truck went to Synergy Signworks for a full vinyl wrap that transformed its look—contrasting cream, blue, red, black, and white details create a modern yet classic stance.

Inside, the cab was stripped and rebuilt with heat and sound insulation, new carpet, and Corbeau seating. A TMI dash and door panels modernize the interior, while a Holley 12” Pro Dash delivers real-time performance data. Push-to-start ignition, a CarPlay head unit, and a complete Vintage Air HVAC system provide modern convenience. All trim pieces were powder-coated for a clean, durable finish.
