Engine Build - Gen III LS 6.6L LQ9 Supercharged
Project Overview
This 6.6L Gen 3 iron block LS was assembled for a customer building a high-performance 2003 Silverado regular cab short bed. The customer had carefully selected each component for a reliable 800HP combination using a ProCharger supercharger system. KTR Performance handled the engine assembly, ensuring every part worked in perfect harmony so the finished long block would be ready for a straightforward installation.

Build Details
Short Block: Customer purchased and supplied a built LQ9 short block stroked to 6.6L with forged internals as the foundation for this build
Cylinder Heads & Valvetrain: Customer supplied Headhunter LS3 style ported cylinder heads assembled with valves and upgraded springs and retainers. Rocker arms were upgraded with BTR Trunnion kit and hardened pushrods.
Induction & Supercharger System: The build is designed around a ProCharger supercharger setup, chosen for its consistent power delivery and tunable boost characteristics.
Assembly & Delivery: KTR Performance performed all final assembly, torque verification, and clearance checks, delivering a turn-key long block ready for the customer’s installation.
