Project Overview

This C-10 has evolved over multiple visits to KTR: we removed the original powertrain, installed a customer-provided built Gen 4 6.0L LS, converted the truck to a 6-speed manual, and most recently fitted a Whipple 3.0L supercharger. Along the way we modernized comfort and weather sealing, refreshed hardware, and added a wheel/tire package—bringing classic style together with modern performance.

Engine, Induction & Transmission

We removed the outgoing engine and installed the client’s built Gen 4 6.0L LS, and finished it off by adding a Whipple 3.0L supercharger to complete the power package. Airflow is managed with the supporting hardware and calibration to deliver strong midrange and clean throttle response. The 6-speed manual conversion ties it together, giving the truck a connected, factory-clean driving feel.

Interior, Doors, Comfort & Wheels/Tires

To bring 1970s driving comfort up to modern standards, the cab received a Vintage Air HVAC upgrade, giving the truck electronically controlled heat and air conditioning for the first time. While the interior was apart, we added sound deadening and thermal insulation to cut heat soak and reduce noise. Both doors were removed for upgraded latches and fresh weatherstrips and glass channels..

The updates continue underneath, where a new wheel and tire package adds grip and stance. Upcoming work includes custom inner fenderwells for clearance and a chassis stiffener package to ensure the truck can put its new power to the ground.
