2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Magnuson HearTbeat Supercharged LS3 Package
Project Overview
This was one of our in-house Corvettes. We replaced the stock LS6 with a KTR-built LS3 configured from day one to accept boost, then evolved the package in stages. The naturally aspirated setup woke the car up, but the latest round—Magnuson Heartbeat supercharger, brake upgrade, wheel/tire fitment, and interior tech—takes it to a complete, well-balanced package. The result: a sharper, stronger C5 Z06 that puts down 580 whp on our Mainline ProHub Dyno.

Engine & Powertrain
The LS6 showed clear signs of hard use—including a cracked piston—so we used the opportunity to step up the platform. We installed a KTR-built LS3 with forged internals, configured from the outset for boost. The first iteration ran naturally aspirated with a Stage 3 cam (~500 whp). Later, we moved to a Lingenfelter GT9 boost cam and a custom-fitted Magnuson Heartbeat supercharger (C6 kit adapted for the C5 chassis). Calibrated on our Mainline Hub Dyno, the car now produces 580 whp, with crisp response and strong top-end pull.
Interior, Exterior, Wheels & Brakes
Inside, a CarPlay touchscreen head unit replaces the stock radio using a Reversion Raceworks 3D-printed mount, adding modern usability with a factory-clean look.
Outside, stance and stopping were addressed together: C7 Z06 big brake calipers and rotors bring modern braking, while C8 Z06 replica wheels (custom offsets/sizing for this car) complete the look and clear the hardware. An RPI paint-matched body skirt kit with rear lip sharpens the profile without feeling out of place on a C5.
