Project Overview

This 2001 Silverado 2500 came in already packing serious power—a built 6.0L LS with twin turbos. What it didn’t have was the right transmission to put that power to the ground.

Drivetrain & Braking Upgrades

To handle the torque and give the driver more control, we performed a manual transmission swap using a Tremec Magnum 6-speed supplied by American Powertrain. The upgrade completely transformed the truck’s driving experience, bringing back that raw, connected feel you can only get with a proper manual gearbox.

We also upgraded the brakes with PowerStop rotors and pads on all four corners, giving this turbocharged heavy hitter the stopping confidence to match its performance.
