2013 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport

Car

Project Overview

This rare-color Grand Sport came in bone stock (LS3 with 6L80E automatic) and baselined at 350 whp. The goal was to stay naturally aspirated while meaningfully increasing output with a matched, top-end package. The result is a sharp-responding GS that now makes 472 whp on our in-house Mainline Hub Dyno—+122 whp over baseline.

Build Details

Cylinder heads were sent to Lingenfelter Performance for CNC porting and a complete rebuild, then paired with an LPE camshaft and upgraded valvetrain. Supporting hardware includes an ATI crank damper, Performance & Design XS intake manifold, and Nick Williams 103 mm throttle body. Exhaust flow is handled by Kooks long-tube headers with an X-pipe. Once the body was mated back to the powertrain, we finished the car with a Billy Boat axle-back and a set of C7 Z06 wheels. Onto the in-house Mainline Hub Dyno, it tuned cleanly, picking up +122 whp for a final of 472 whp.
