Project Overview
What started life as a police cruiser has been completely reborn. This 2013 Chevrolet Caprice PPV was originally equipped with a 6.0L L77, 6L80E automatic transmission, and 2.92 gears—but its GM roots made it the perfect candidate for a manual swap and performance overhaul.

Engine, Performance, & Braking
KTR sourced a complete LS3 engine, TR6060 6-speed manual transmission, 3.42 rear axle, and clutch pedal assembly from a 2013 Camaro SS donor vehicle. While the engine was out, we upgraded it with a BTR LS3 Stage 1 V2 camshaft before performing the swap.
The installation required careful integration—wiring harness modifications and custom BCM/ECM programming ensured every system worked seamlessly, just like a factory build. Once complete, the car hit our Mainline Hub Dyno, producing 416 HP and 391 lb-ft of torque, a huge step up from the stock automatic setup.
To match the newfound power, braking was upgraded to a CTS-V six-piston caliper and rotor package, and CTS-V wheels completed the stance and stopping power.
